Vienna Opera FestivalMusic and culture tour 24th – 28th July

Be part of an exciting opera festival, meet all the artists and immerse yourself in Viennese culture.

The Wiener Festspiele is a relatively new and small scale opera festival gaining momentum on the the international operatic scene.  The setting is the famous Musikverien in the heart of Vienna.  The building is historic but the Glasener Saal is an intimate and stylish modern space that offers the audience a special operatic experience.  Renowned tenor Jesus Leon the founder says ” We choose operas that can harness the venue’s acoustic strengths, ensuring that each note reverberates with precision.  The architecture becomes a collaborator in the performance, shaping not just what the audience hears, but how they experience the emotional depth of the opera.”  This summer we will enjoy two of Mozart’s masterpieces Cosi fan tutte and Don Giovanni and an Evening with Verdi.  The world class cast is to be announced soon but I’m delighted to share with you that Jesus Leon will be singing highlights of La Traviata and Rigoletto during the Verdi evening.

Vienna is a relaxed city in the summer when you can wander the cobbled streets of the historic Innere Stadt and enjoy the elegant architecture, beautiful parks and noble palaces and tradtional Viennese cafes in the warm sunshine.  We will have expert daily tours of some of the cultural highlights.  Vienna is uniquely a city with a wine culture.  You will discover the locally grown wines with the wine writer Darrel Joseph.

Festival founder, the tenor Jesus Leon.

Your 5 day package will include premium seats to the three operas on 25th, 26th and 27th July, a lunchtime concert featuring Young Artists of the Vienna Opera Academy, four nights at the centrally located 5 star Intercontinental Hotel with breakfast.  Three dinners, several lunches, expert talks, a guided tour of the historic centre, visits with an art historian to the great art collections, an expert-led wine tour and tasting, and a party with the cast and festival directors.
